1. Eligibility

Participants must be between the ages of 5 and 28. Parental approval is required for anyone under 18 before signing up. Any skill level is welcome, but participants must commit to attending the sessions, camps, or events they sign up for.

2. Registration and Payment

Payments can be made only through our website (https://www.yilmazacademy.net). All payments are non-refundable, except in cases of program cancellation by Yilmaz Academy. Failure to attend scheduled sessions, camps, or events without prior notice may lead to termination of the agreement without refund.

3. Conduct and Behavior

Participants are expected to maintain respectful behavior towards coaches, staff, and other participants. Any form of harassment, derogatory language, or unlawful activity is strictly prohibited and may result in warnings or immediate termination of participation without a refund. Training materials provided during sessions are not to be taken home unless explicitly permitted by the coaches.

4. Health, Safety, and Assumption of Risk

Soccer is a physical contact sport, and participation involves inherent risks of injury. By registering, participants and parents/guardians assume all risks associated with play. Yilmaz Academy is not liable for any injuries sustained during training, games, or events that are not a direct result of negligence by our coaches or staff.

Participants are required to notify the academy of any existing medical conditions, allergies, or injuries before participating in any training sessions. We maintain the right to refuse participation to anyone who poses a health or safety risk to themselves or others.

For safety purposes, all players must wear appropriate athletic attire, including mandatory shin guards, and bring adequate water. In the event of a medical emergency where a parent or guardian cannot be immediately reached, Yilmaz Academy staff reserves the right to seek emergency medical care on the participant's behalf.

5. Data Privacy

We collect personal information such as names, age, experience, payment details, and, if underage, a parent's name to better understand our users and provide appropriate training. This data is collected through iMessage, WhatsApp, and Gmail, all of which use encryption. Yilmaz Academy does not share personal information with third parties. Users may request changes to their information or its removal upon membership cancellation. Site usage statistics are tracked for improvement purposes, but no personal information is shared or sold.

6. Intellectual Property

The Yilmaz Academy logo, website content, training programs, drills, videos, and all related materials are the exclusive property of Yilmaz Academy and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. Participants and parents are granted a limited, non-exclusive right to use these materials solely for personal training and development. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, modification, or commercial use of any Academy materials—including recording and sharing proprietary training methodologies with third parties or rival programs—is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate dismissal and further legal action.

7. Cancellation and Termination of Agreement

Memberships must be canceled directly by the user or parent/guardian through their online account portal. Parents and adult participants are strictly responsible for managing their own cancellations, as well as for all missed sessions and payments. If a membership is not canceled prior to the next billing cycle and a charge occurs, no refunds will be issued. In such cases, the participant is entitled and encouraged to attend sessions for the duration of that billed month. If a billing issue arises due to a verifiable, systemic error on the Academy's platform, please contact academy administration for assistance.

Yilmaz Academy reserves the right to terminate this agreement and dismiss a participant if they engage in prohibited activities or fail to comply with these terms and conditions.

8. Governing Law

These terms and conditions, and any disputes arising from or relating to your participation in Yilmaz Academy programs, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and applicable federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding related to this agreement shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, and all parties consent to the jurisdiction of such courts. If any provision of these terms is found by a court to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

9. Modifications to Terms

Yilmaz Academy reserves the right to update, amend, or modify these terms and conditions at any time to reflect changes in our practices, safety guidelines, legal requirements, or program structure. Any significant modifications will be communicated to active members in advance via email, announcements during practice, or prominently posted notices on our website. Revisions become effective immediately upon being published on our official site. Continued participation in Yilmaz Academy sessions or maintaining an active membership following any such changes constitutes your formal acknowledgment and acceptance of the updated terms.

 

10. Media and Recording Policy

Yilmaz Academy occasionally records training sessions and events via video or photography for instructional, analytical, or promotional purposes. If you are a parent or guardian and do not wish for your child to be recorded, please explicitly inform our staff in person during practice or via email prior to the session. We will respect your privacy preferences and ensure your child is opted out of media recordings.
